Photo Walk

This Neil and I ventured out on a photo walk to try and get a bit of practice in with the cameras. It was the second real outing with the tripod. I never though something so simple would be so dificult to use let alone master. But its getting there. Only 9,95 hours to go now…….

Ordered New Tripod and ball head

After much deliberation i have finally placed a order for a new tripod and ball head. In the past I have not had much joy with tripods. My aim was alway a small tripod that would fit in my bag but could provide good support for a camera (at a cheap price). It took me 2 tripod purchase to realise that its not possible (Ok im not the quickest person, but i was sure it was possible.. How i was wrong).

So 3rd time lucky! I have purchased a Gittos MTL8361B and a Giottos MH1302 652 Series II. Now i know I still have not spent a great deal (in relation to the cost that you can spend on this kit) but I feel its about right in relation to the D90. Only time will tell.

The kit should all arrive on Saturday so I am hoping for some good weather over the weekend so i can get some good night shots.

I purchased all the kit from http://www.warehouseexpress.com I not used them before but there prices seem very good with good information.

Birthday Cake

This years birthday was pretty depressing, working your birthday is never good but combined with the threat of redundency made it pretty torid.

There was a brght spot a few days later when one of my colleagues brought in this cake.. The Tom Tits is a bit of a long story but really put a smile on my face.

Snow in London

DSC_0014.NEF

It snowed loads in london last week, I was working the early shift so ran out at lunch time and took some pictures. Half the office did not make it in (the slackers) but it ment that the snow was untouched. This is a photo from a grave yard close to moorgate.
